There are many options for your accommodations while you are staying at Sunrise Aviation. If you would like us to make all the arrangements, you may choose to stay in one of the Sunrise Aviation houses or in an apartment at Fisherman’s Landing. But if you would like to arrange your own apartment, condo, or house, there are thousands of other local options, too. Either way, the counselors at Sunrise Aviation will assist you to find the best alternative for you.

Sunrise Aviation Housing

sunrise aviation student housing united states

We own or lease enough houses and apartments to accommodate all the students who prefer Sunrise Aviation to arrange for the accommodations.  If you choose this option, Sunrise Aviation will also arrange for daily transportation in our shuttle bus to and from the airport.  We will also arrange for other necessary trips such as to the Aviation Medical Examiner for your FAA Medical Exam, routine shopping, etc.

Sunrise Aviation houses are fully furnished.  You can either choose a single occupancy or double occupancy option.  With single occupancy, you will get your own private bedroom.  With double occupancy, you will have one roommate.  Each house has a living room with television, dining room, and kitchen.  Students share the kitchen facilities, but the house is fully equipped so that you can cook all your meals at home.  Each house has multiple bathrooms.  Though it is likely that you will have to share the bathroom facilities, no more than a couple of students will need to share each one.  All the houses come with internet service.

The cost of Sunrise Aviation housing including the cost of transportations is as follows:

  • Double occupancy:  $550.00 per mont
  • Single occupancy:   $775.00 per month

If you choose to stay in one of the Sunrise Aviation houses or apartments, you will be expected to remain there for at least the initial commitment in your contract.  You will be required to pay an initial deposit of $575.

 Appartments in Ormond Beach

There are literally hundreds of apartment complexes within just a few miles of the airport in Ormond Beach.  You can choose Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, or Flagler Beach, just to name a few.

Sunrise Aviation Flight School recommends Fisherman’s Landing Apartments in Ormond Beach.. Fisherman’s Landing is convenient to Sunrise Aviation and has numerous amenities including swimming pool, clubhouse, tennis and basketball courts, and fitness center.

For a more complete listing of other apartments in the Ormond Beach area, try this Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce listing.

Individual houses and condominiums are also often available for lease. For a current listing of those possibilities, go to the Daytona Beach News Journal Online website.

If you choose to make your own housing arrangements, you will likely want to get a Florida Driver License and perhaps purchase a vehicle.  Both are relatively easy to obtain, though if you buy a car remember that you will need to purchase automobile insurance in order to get it registered.  Often Sunrise Aviation students who are close to completing their flight training are looking to sell their cars.  So there is usually a car for sale right at Sunrise Aviation.

Remember that the Sunrise Aviation Admissions Counselors are available to help you make the best selection for YOU!
