The following courses are recommended for Sunrise Aviation students from the Republic of Panama. Each course satisfies all of the AAC requirements and meets or exceeds the known minimum requirements of the Republic of Panama. All the courses include at least 250 total hours. In addition, to create a better teaching environment and reduce overall time and cost while increasing pilot skill, the courses include some time in a simulator (FTD). Each course includes 25 hours of multi-engine flight time meeting the minimum the Republic of Panama requirement. Our experience is that this slight increase in multi-engine time greatly increases both the pilot’s skill and chance of first-time success on the FAA check-ride (practical test).
Sunrise Aviation, a flight school in Ormond Beach, Florida is approved by the Republic of Panama to train pilots from that country. Sunrise Aviation, though its affiliate company known as the International Flight Training Center, has been approved by Panama since 1999 to conduct flight training for students from Panama.
Sunrise Aviation has enrolled students from Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and other Central and South American countries since 1999. In many of those countries, Sunrise Aviation graduates are now flying for the airlines.
We have found that most of our students from the Republic of Panama prefer to live in an apartment with full amenities including swimming pool. Therefore, these packages for Panamanian students include an option for Sunrise Aviation housing. Sunrise Aviation provides transportation to and from the student housing and the flight school.
