Sunrise Aviation has formed a partnership with Eagle Jet International to provide pilot graduates with “real world” airline flight experience that will help our graduates compete for pilot jobs in today’s highly competitive professional pilot job market. This experience will be even more valuable to students seeking employment in the USA as it appears likely that a new requirement establishing a minimum of 800 hours experience including crew-type or training will be enacted soon.

The partnership will allow a student graduating from one of Sunrise Aviation’s Professional Pilot Courses to gain 100 hours, 250 hours, or even 500 hours of experience operating as a First Officer in an airline environment. These packages can be added to any CPL (250 hours) Course.  The First Officer Program places the student at a company flying a multi-pilot turbo-prop aircraft. Eagle Jet International will provide the training and placement for this additional experience. The packages include the airline training, line check and then a specified number of hours flying as a first officer in the turbo-prop aircraft. Possible choices include the Beech 1900, Metroliner III and Shorts 330/360. For a reduction in price, students may also select the Beech 99.

Since students will be gaining more flight hours than normal, you must be prepared to spend more time gaining that experience. The 100 hour First Officer program may add 4 additional months or more to your training. The 250 hour programs may add 6 additional months or more to your training time. More extensive programs like the ones that can add as much as 500 hours of turbo-prop time could add as much as one more year to your flight training calendar. Please factor in the additional calendar time and expense when you are choosing which program is best for you. For the Sunrise Aviation Professional Pilot I portion of the course, housing is available from $550 to $775 per month in one of the Sunrise Aviation houses. Other housing options are also available. For more information on the housing options, please check this housing link.

Like all other Sunrise Aviation courses, the AIRLINE PREP COURSES, can be tailored to your individual needs. We have listed four courses for each of the options (100 hour or 250 hour) below. Contact Sunrise Aviation to find out more details about these exciting new options!
