Sunrise Aviation and GoJet Airlines are pleased to announce the recent formation of a new partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding. The Memorandum of Understanding between GOJet Airline and Sunrise Aviation will give graduates from Sunrise Aviation’s Professional Pilot Program first consideration for employment with GoJet.
GoJet Airline is an 8 year old airline. It is the fastest growing regional airline in the US today – having doubled in size in the past 24 months with over 600 hundred employees. Sunrise Aviation’s Professional Pilot Program is designed to prepare Sunrise graduates to successfully complete GoJet’s initial pilot training. With this new Memorandum of Understanding with GoJet Airlines, Sunrise Aviation graduates will be given top priority consideration for employment with the airline.
“With the continued growth of GoJet Airlines and with the addition of more aircraft and routes in the future, partnering with a progressive and successful proven flight school like Sunrise Aviation will be vital to insuring we have enough properly trained pilots to fill our flight crew vacancies in the future” said Mike Campbell / First Officer & Pilot Recruiter for GoJet Airlines and a Sunrise Aviation Graduate Alumni.
According to Patrick Murphy, Director of Training at Sunrise Aviation, recent changes in FAA policies combined with retirements at the major airlines will create many new pilot openings in the major airlines as well as the regional airlines. “Recent articles, including one in the Wall Street Journal, point to the potential of a great increase in hiring at the airlines over the next few years. Our Sunrise graduates will have the skills necessary to fill those positions and this new agreement with GoJet will give each one the path to a great future as an airline pilot.”
GoJet currently is a code share service provider for Delta and United Airlines. It offers efficient commuter jet service under the names of Delta Connection and United Express into over 30 cities in 18 states and Canada with over 200 flights daily. Flying on one of 50 Bombardier CRJ700 regional jets which offer first class and economy service, customers enjoy one of the highest safety, on time performance and customer satisfaction ratings in the airlines today. GoJet is a sister airline to Compass and Trans States Airlines. All three are wholly owned by Trans States Holdings based out of St. Louis, Missouri.

Sunrise Aviation has just concluded its first year of a multi-year contract as the exclusive provider for flight training at FSCJ (Florida State College of Jacksonville). Through our association with FSCJ, U.S. Veterans who qualify for the post 911 GI Bill can obtain, at the governments expense, an associates degree and become a commercial multi-engine pilot. Also at the governments expense, veterans can obtain their flight instructor ratings. Veterans who obtain their instructor ratings with Sunrise are given top priority for employment with Sunrise Aviation.
